Our Story
The thinKitchen® journey began with Badri and Pushpa Baldawa, who in 1986 set out to share India’s high-quality kitchenware with the world. What started as a modest trading business has grown into an international legacy built on trust, design, and craftsmanship.
For the Baldawa family, the kitchen was never just a place to cook. It was — and remains — the heart of the home: a space where conversations flow, creativity thrives, and families come together. That belief became the soul of everything they built.
Their son, Anand Baldawa, grew up immersed in this atmosphere of passion and entrepreneurship. Some of his earliest memories are of summer holidays spent in his parents’ office, surrounded by the clatter of pots and pans and the steady hum of business. Though he once joked about missing his “vacations,” those days planted the seeds of a lifelong connection to the world of kitchenware.
After studying and working abroad in finance, Anand returned to India with his wife Manushi in 2012 — giving the family business “two years” to see what could happen. Those two years became a lifetime calling.

Those two years became a turning point. By 2017, Anand and his wife, Manushi, co-founded thinKitchen®, envisioning it as a bridge between global kitchen innovation and Indian living — a way to carry forward a 35-year family legacy into a new era. What started as a trade venture has since blossomed into a modern omnichannel retailer & wholesaler, curating the world’s best kitchen and homeware products for Indian homes – yet the warmth of the family remains at its heart.
Even today, a little chair sits in Anand’s office for their daughter — just like his father did for him — symbolizing how every generation adds its own flavour to the family story.

We partner with leading retail independent stores, modern trade outlets, hospitality brands, and corporate gifting programs — while also being available online through our website, top e-commerce platforms, and quick-commerce delivery apps. Today, you will find our brands and products in Shoppers Stop, Food Square, Food Stories, Le Marche, Reliance Freshpik or independent family owned general trade shops in Metro, Tier I and Tier II cities across the country. thinKitchen® is proudly part of Seeba Industries Pvt. Ltd., the Baldawa family’s parent company founded in 1986.
From humble beginnings, Seeba evolved into one of India’s leading exporters and manufacturers of premium kitchenware, trusted by top global brands. Today, Seeba operates a state-of-the-art 80,000 sq. ft. solar-powered facility in Mumbai, producing over 2 million pieces of cutlery (also known as Tabletop flatware) per month.
Together, Seeba and thinKitchen® unite Indian craftsmanship with global innovation — blending a heritage of quality with a vision for the modern home.
Meet Our Founder
Anand Baldawa, CEO of thinKitchen® and Seeba Group, leads with a vision to blend global innovation with Indian sensibilities.
A rank-holding Chartered Accountant and NYU Stern MBA, Anand spent over two decades in international finance — working with Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young, Lehman Brothers, and Robert W. Baird in the UK and the USA — before returning home to reimagine his family’s legacy for a new era.
His personal philosophy, “Partner. Build. Grow.”, reflects his belief in sustainable success built on long-term relationships, trust, and quality. These values define thinKitchen’s culture — a brand that feels like family to everyone involved. He believes that true success comes from partnering with the right people (whether its global brands, employees or customers), building value in a transparent manner and growing together.
Outside of work, Anand is a mountain and nature lover as well as a squash and fitness enthusiast, but is often found experimenting in the kitchen with his daughter. He nurtures a culture of learning and innovation within the company - inspiring a team that shares the same passion for bringing joy to homes across India and every customer feels like part of the family.
