Ingredients:

  1. 1 no. ripe avocado, mashed
  2. 3/4 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  3. 1 tbsp. - coconut oil / butter
  4. 2 tbsp. - brown sugar
  5. 1 tsp. - instant coffee powder
  6. For garnish - dried mixed berries

Directions:

For Melting Chocolate

Take the chocolate, butter, coffee, brown sugar in a skillet and set aside.

Add 2 cups of water in the dutch oven and let it boil on medium heat and then lower the heat.

Place the bowl with the ingredients on top of the dutch oven; making sure that the bowl does not touch the water nor is very close to the surface of water.

When the pan comes in touch with the steam, the chocolate will begin to melt.

Stir the ingredients with a spatula until all of the chocolate melts. Do not overcook the chocolate as it will seize or release fat.

Once the chocolate has melted remove it from the pan. The melted chocolate mixture should look smooth and glossy. Then set it aside and let it cool completely at room temperature.

For Making Mousse:

Mix the avocado with the chocolate mixture till you get a smooth consistency.

Spoon the mousse into a small serving bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Garnish with mixed berries and serve cold.
