Kilner's new Fresh Storage containers and jars are excellent. You can tell a group of humans thought about what people actually want, then made their product the best it could be. They accomplished it.

Pros:
- No plastic. All glass and silicone. Thick glass too which is nice and not heavy.
- Airtight with fully secure lid. No way this is coming off until you need it to.
- Leakproof.
- Easy vacuum seal.
- Stackable and sturdy.
- Ovenproof.
- Freezeproof.
- Microwavable with the lid. Just open the valve.
- Modern, neutral and stylish appearance, yet rugged enough to stash anywhere on the go.
- Silicone front flap makes it easier to grab and open.
- Rounded corners make pouring/eating/cleaning a breeze.
- Big range of containers and jars in the same style.
- Cleaning is easy with minimal parts. Just the container, lid and valve. Whole silicone design is firmly stuck.
- Best of all, SIMPLE YET HIGHLY EFFICIENT.

Cons:
- Kilner's new Fresh Storage range doesn't offer a competitor to soup/pasta/noodle pots. I need a tallish round glass pot that can withstand boiling water being poured in for my daily lunch and occasional dinner. Too many plastic pots out there. 1 Cook&Go glass pot from Pyrex is suitable for the sudden high thermal shock, but has various issues while looking terrible too. A Kilner soup/pasta/noodle pot in this new Fresh Storage range that can withstand sudden boiling water would be perfect. That's my ONLY criticism in already great range.

Overall, Kilner's Fresh Storage containers and jars are absolutely excellent and I hope they're extremely successful. Several brands have attempted 'no plastic' from Ikea to Pyrex. I've tried MANY and always been disappointed from their frankly stupid outputs. Pyrex's new 100% glass offering for example is a joke (it's basically an oven dish with a slab of glass and flimsy silicone strip, which leaks among other issues). I don't like mason jars either (including Kilner's) as they're top-heavy, ugly, annoying to clean, hard to pour and slow to use.

Kilner's new Fresh Storage offering is the first I've seen and tested that made me go "FINALLY". Everything just makes sense and is made perfectly and cleverly. I've now bought all the products from this range from Amazon and Harts of Stur for the best prices, and use them every day. This particular container is great for lunches, smallish dinners, leftovers, snacks, etc. Just wish they did a soup/pasta/noodle pot too! Excellent product in a range that's well worth your money. If you imagine a 'perfect kitchen of the future', this would fit right in.

(To the people leaving 1 star reviews because they didn't receive the lid. Have some intelligence and be an adult. Obviously that's not supposed to happen. It didn't happen to me as mine arrived with the lid, but if yours doesn't, just contact Amazon or Kilner who will dispatch the lid. Don't 1 star an excellently made product because of some delivery/packaging issue that you can easily sort...)

This is my first purchase from this brand and I must say it deserves the credit for being such a renowned brand for glass material products. Everything from design to overall quality gives a different feel. Its indeed little expensive but worth it.

I bought this because I needed a smaller glass storage container for my kimchi that comes in a 20oz bag (I only get a small bag for myself). For those who don't know, kimchi can have a very strong smell. This container does a very good job of containing that smell (doubled with Arm & Hammer, and charcoal) and keeping my kimchi fresh. I've had no issues with the seal, opening and closing is quite easy but it does have a strong seal that takes an adjustment period to get used to how to open, and is very sturdy. I'm very happy with this purchase, and will buy more for my banchan.
